These orders assume you begin with the Coldharbour tutorial. To begin the Coldharbour tutorial quests, simply travel to your starting city ("Zone 1" for your respective alliance) and a Hooded Figure will approach you.īelow is the proper order for each alliance followed by the proper way to weave in the main quest line. All starter cities are available at any wayshrine. It is recommended to begin in Coldharbour, however, as the quest "Soul Shriven in Coldharbour" forms the basis for the alliance zone quest line and the main quest line. If you own Elsweyr, Morrowind, Summerset, or Greymoor, you will start in the most recent of those DLCs, which again depends on what game content you own. If you own just the base game, you will begin on the starter island.

The starting tutorial depends entirely on what game content you own. But now we must take matters into our own hands. Before the One Tamriel update, this was done automatically because quests were level locked. Quests from both the alliance zone quest line and the main quest line take place at the same time if you do them in the right order.
